PUBLICATION PROJECT - JOTAPLOT

This was a project to create a publication with multiple copies, about anything we wanted. I will let the book mostly speak for itself, but basically it's: A humorous interactive book directed at teenages and above, in which you create your own action, horror or sci-fi plots. Everthing is screen printed and I tried to be as economical as possible, printing the entire content of the book on one sheet, cutting and folding it down into the book format. The covers are just the posters printed on to red card, and cropped down, so every one is slightly different.

The element cards can be reproduced, and used in all of the different posters. The more bizarre you make them, the better the plots will be! Here's a couple of examples of how the cards can fit into different plots.

FACT PROJECT - STORYBOARDS AND FINAL ANIMATION

For the final animation I wanted to place these anthropomorphized insects into a more human environment to play on the funny comparisons between human and insect mating rituals. I tried to imagine an insect bar, and what it would contain and how the characters would interact.

FACT PROJECT - INSECT MODELS

These are the movable wire models I made in preparation for an animation. I tried to use appropriate materials to capture the individual insects' characters more, but also hint at human characteristics like the Stalk-eyed Flies being similar to punks and the Lunar Moths being rich upper-class.
